The 180 Sector AI Disruption Map
AI is not one trade. Every sector adopts on its own timeline, slowly at first and then all at once. This map covers 180 markets that have not yet reached mainstream growth, and names the single constraint that decides when each one turns.
The curve / where each stage sits
We cover the first four positions on the curve. The launch pad is where the constraint is easing and adoption is about to steepen, and it is where the research spends most of its time.
The curve. Technologies do not diffuse evenly. Each one moves through a life cycle: slow early adoption, a steepening launch, then mainstream growth and eventual maturity. We cover only the first three phases. Once a market reaches mainstream growth the advantage has already been competed away.
The constraint. Every sector has one thing holding it back more than any other. Interconnection queues. Reimbursement codes. Qualification cycles. Regulatory approval. When that constraint eases, adoption inflects. Watch the constraint and the turn becomes visible before the tape reflects it.
51 sectors / Emerging
Adoption is under way but still early. Costs are high, standards are unsettled, and capacity is being built ahead of demand.
89 sectors / Launch pad
The constraint is easing and adoption is about to steepen. This is the inflection point, and where the research spends most of its time.
21 sectors / Takeoff
Growth has inflected and capital is flooding in. Fundamentals are real, but expectations frequently run ahead of them.
19 sectors / Growth
Adoption is established and the market is expanding. The easy repricing has happened, so the work here is separating durable compounding from a story already in the price.
