How our content is compensated

Disruptor Investing publishes two kinds of content, compensated differently:

Written research and commentary — the sector write-ups, market analysis, and company research we publish — is editorial content. Companies do not pay us to write it, and we do not accept compensation for written coverage of any company.

Executive interviews — video and audio interviews with CEOs and executives of publicly traded companies — are typically paid engagements, compensated as described in the next section. Interview content is promotion, not editorial research, and is labeled accordingly.

Paid interview & promotional compensation

Disruptor Investing conducts interviews with CEOs and executives of publicly traded companies. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a specific piece of content, ASSUME THAT EVERY EXECUTIVE INTERVIEW WE PUBLISH IS A PAID ENGAGEMENT: Disruptor Investing is compensated in cash for producing and distributing the interview and related interview content, either directly by the featured public company or through our distribution partnership with RetailVolts acting on the company's behalf.

Consistent with Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933, we disclose the existence, source, nature, and amount of that compensation. Rather than publishing a separate disclosure page for each interview, we disclose our standard compensation terms on this single page, which is linked from all interview content. If the compensation for any specific engagement ever falls outside the standard terms stated on this page — including any non-cash compensation such as securities — that fact and the specific terms will be disclosed prominently within the relevant content itself.

Compensated content is promotion, not independent research, and should be treated accordingly. Payment does not entitle any company to favorable coverage of its securities, but viewers and readers should assume that compensation creates a conflict of interest and evaluate all statements with that in mind.

Automated publication & AI-generated content

A portion of the content published by Disruptor Investing — including the Daily Disruptor morning series — is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and published automatically on a scheduled basis. This content is not individually reviewed, edited, or verified by a human before it is published.
